We want to help you in every way we can to get books & resources to your friends, family, and pen pals in Texas prisons. Unfortunately, due to the great demand (we receive more than 800 letters a month) it will take at least 4-5 months for the books to be mailed, unless you provide a donation to help cover the postage! Also due to high demand, a maximum of one 5lb or less package can be sent per month to a Texas inmate.
We are unable to send to Del Valle. If you have a friend or family member incarcerated there, you must go through a company like Amazon to get your books in.

Postage
Generally, a $5 donation covers the cost of sending a package of books. If you are able to donate for postage, it will still take about a month to mail the package due to the high demand.

Books
We survive off of book donations and we send them to inmates for FREE! We are rarely able to fill specific book requests, so please include a general subject or genre that they would like to receive. Some bookstores provide a similar service to ours if you buy the books from them, so, check with bookstores in your area first to see if they will send your package. It may be much faster than we are able to do as an all volunteer organization. Unfortunately, we are generally unable to take book requests by email.
